Wealthy New York magazine editor and Playboy, Bobby Black, enjoyed a life excitement, women and leisure. Inexplicably unsatisfied, he found himself searching for deeper answers to mankind and his relationship with the natural world. He turned to Wicca and threw himself deep study. His dedication was rewarded when Lugas, the Celtic God of Magic appeared to him during a Cannabis induced trance. 

Impressed by Black's natural magical ability and dedication, Lugas anointed Bobby his Champion blessing him with three powerful gifts: The Sacred Book of Wiccan Magic,  a magical golden pentagram and a joint filled with "The Fruit of the Tree of Life", the fabled Mother of all Cannabis Plants.

Bobby smoked the legendary herb absorbing it's magical smoke. The herb drastically increased Black’s magical energies, marking his arms with powerful, ancient rune spells. Lugas dubbed him "WEEDLORD" and charged him with the protection of the Earth's herbs.
